I have purchased a replacement outside security light. There is a switch inside which allows the light to be switch permanently on or when off, the light operates in PIR mode. When I removed the old light , there were wires plus an earth.
To switch it back into ' PIR ' mode you switch it off and on within secs. The light will then be permanantly on at night.
